Jackie Chan To Get Honorary Oscar

Hollywood megastar Jackie Chan never got any Academy Award so far, not even a nomination. So what! For his outstanding contribution in film and entertainment, Academy Of Motion Pictures, Arts & Science has decided to give honorary Oscar to this legendary martial artist.

But not only Chan, three more movie personalities are also going to be honored with this award. They are British film editor Anne Voase Coates, documentary filmmaker Frederick Wiseman and casting director Lynn Stalmaster.

Jackie Chan started his film career at the age of only eight. Apart from numerous Hollywood movies, Jackie has performed in over 30 Hong Kong movies. In many of all these, he directed and wrote scripts as well. For his unique style of action-comedy, he is hugely popular among all classes of audience.

Recently Jackie became second in list of highest paid Hollywood actors in 2016 after Dwayne Johnson. Among his popular Hollywood films, ‘Rush Hour’, ‘The Karate Kid’, ‘Shanghai Noon’, ‘Shanghai Knights’, ‘Around The World In 80 Days’ are notable.
